Ballet inspired: full skirts

Full skirts or  rather midi and swollen skirts, are a trend of the summer 2014. Launched by fashion victim and models on socials, in particular, Instagram and Pinterest, these skirts are still pretty difficult to find in physical stores, but very present in the online stores.

These are in fact stiff and swollen midi skirts, 50s style, which can come from below the knee to the ankles, not too flowy but very elegant. On Asos for ex. there are so many gorgeous models and patterns, from floral to polka dots or even in plain colors but you can find them also on Topshop and Forever21.

Some timid presence are even on Zara and H & M where, however, the soft model is definitely more popular.

But how to combine the full skirt? For petite girls heels are definitely needed, maybe these knee-high sandals, so fashion for this season. If you are tall and thin, instead, you can dare ballerina flats, in very bon ton style.

Ballet inspired looks

Skirt is a garment purely feminine , designed specifically to enhance the lines of  woman silohuette and give it charm especially when she walks and moves.
Over time we found many skirts designs of all lengths and widths. The high-waisted skirt was born in the 50s , for reasons mainly related to the practicality of the garment. Today, after almost sixty years , the high-waisted skirt comeback fashion to give a touch of sophistication to every look.
The skirt is also a garment extremely adaptable to experimenting with shapes and materials and between the most recently fabrics we can found chiffon and tulle , generally produced in plain color or patterned .
Tulle and chiffon skirts have been used for a long time for ballet and still are, but in recent months, this material was used to make skirts , short or long , straight and  flounced. Worn generally by a young public, seen their "wealth" and particularity, these skirts give grace and femininity to any look and fit well enough to many different styles, from street to he bon ton , but need to be combined in an appropriate way.

Powder pink ballerina skirt

Et voila, here for you the first pictures I've ever done with the reflex self-timer !
In fact, almost all came out pretty blurry ... and I really did my best! But my parents went on cruise and there is not always someone who knows how to use a reflex, so I had to adapt myself.
It 's obvious that I have some problem about it, so I turn it to you who are expert in the field : how can you focus on the point where you'll stay (I used the multifocal
lens ) ? I stayed on that ottoman in order to have a precise reference but more than half of the photos came out of focus ... Please, help me!
Closed camera  parenthesis, let's talk about today's look : as you may have guessed I love the style inspired by ballerinas, I've done ballet for almost 10 years, so that world is really my heart and I'm so happy I can be revive that mood, even only partially, with these  fashion garments!
In fact, as soon as I saw that powder pink tulle skirt on Asos, I bought it instantly and finally (considering that I got it in February) I decided to wear it !
Since the skirt is flashy enough on itself I decided to keep the rest of look as simple as possible , but with a touch of romance, so I added only a tight top and ballerinas and I gathered my hair in a bun ( very very messy bun).

I have to say that in the end I liked it, even my most skeptical friends did not have to say about! what do you think ?
